To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our department Electronics System Development (ESD) an

(Senior) Engineer Advanced Safety (m/f/d)

 

Tasks:
  • Development of European specific concept requirements and specifications for the realization of Cooperated Automated Driving concepts and integration into concept vehicles
  • Logic specification and proof of concept considering different sensor technologies (like Radar, Camera, LiDAR, HD Map, C2X)
  • System integration of the specified solutions into a concept vehicle and focus on project management with sensor suppliers, third party service providers, etc. and vehicle HW-integration tasks
  • Specification of appropriate test cases for the system validation and qualification by taking research project requirements and use-cases into account
  • Performance verification and system optimization by performing bench and field tests
  • Project Management of EU research projects as well as third party service provider projects (planning and follow up) in order to meet the project deliverables
  • Support of vehicle electronics related advanced safety functions analysis & benchmarking
  • Documentation and presentation of project status & results
  • Close cooperation with HMETC departments and R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea)

 

Requirements:
  • Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Telecommunication or Automotive Engineering
  • Good Knowledge about current vehicle environmental perception sensor technologies (minimum Radar & Camera, LiDAR would be a plus)
  • Familiar with Car2X specifications and standards (ETSI ITS), and ISO/OSI model would be a plus
  • Base knowledge and understanding of vehicle safety related functions and requirements to E/E architecture
  • Base knowledge of automotive specific in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and analysis tools
  • Analytical thinking, creative, independent working style, commitment to your tasks and strong sense of responsibility for your projects
  • Passion for innovative technologies with an overview of the relevant market trends
  • Experience in writing of technical & project specifications and project reports/deliverables
  • Willingness to travel and valid European driving license B
  • A very good command of English, intercultural & communication skills
