for Suspension & Drivetrain mountings / bushings development


  • Responsible for target setting, (concept) development and integration of competitive elasto-kinematic suspension & drivetrain components and systems, focusing on mountings and bushings, for our standard and High Performance (N brand) European vehicles
  • Ability to balance Ride & Handling with NVH targets
  • Perform benchmark of elasto-kinematic components and systems
  • Continuously improve relevant component / system guidelines
  • Identify market / technology trends e.g. based on suppliers / universities network, conference participation
  • Close cooperation with colleagues of suspension and drivetrain (test-) development.
  • Project planning whilst ensuring optimal usage of budget, resources and timeframe
  • Close cooperation with HMETC departments and R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea)


  • Degree in mechanical / automotive engineering or similar
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in mountings / bushings development at OEM, Tier 1 or Eng. Company
  • Good understanding of vehicle dynamics principles, suspension design
  • Proficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel
  • Software skills: experience in Catia V5 and knowledge FEA calculation and / or other CAE software (ie. Matlab, ADAMS / Car, IPG Carmaker, etc.) would be a plus
  • Experience with NVH-related topics and measurement systems is an advantage
  • Excellent analytical & communication skills as well as a problem solving mentality
  • Strong pro-active and self-motivated attitude
  • Team-player, willing to work and travel in a very multicultural environment
  • A very good command of English language
